Chateau Tasting Notes
BEAU RIVAGE SAUVIGNON BLANC, AC BORDEAUX, BORIE MANOUX
The vineyards of the Bordeaux region have the slow action of their rivers to thank for their uniqueness. However this gift from nature of gravel and pebbles left by the Gironde, the chalky slopes shaped by erosion and the generous mineral deposits left by the Garonne, is not enough to ensure the quality and diversity of the terroir, manouxs intervention is also required. Fifty years ago Borie-Manoux, one of Bordeaux's oldest and most traditional negotiators, intervened and chose Beau Rivage to pay homage to the banks of the Gironde.
BEAU RIVAGE BLANC:
The wine is a blend of mainly Sauvignon Blanc grapes, and a small proportion of Semillon and Muscadelle grapes. Each grape variety was fermented separately in temperature controlled vats and then blended and sterile bottled.
The wine is fresh and fruity with balanced acidity and is made in a modern style.
Serve chilled as an aperitif or to accompany shellfish, fish and vegetable dishes.
