Chardonnay Les Grands Arbres
Winery information: For more than 100 years the Delaunay family has produced and also acted as “négociant éleveurs"" in Burgundy. Catherine and Laurent Delaunay are the fourth generation of the family involved in wine and decided to bring their experience and expertise as winemakers in Burgundy to this exciting area of the Languedoc region of southern France. Here they have created wines that express flair and individuality of the region.
Viticulture: The vines are grown without the use of any chemical fertilisers, weed-killers or pesticides that contain chemicals. Preventative methods such as soil ploughing and pruning to ensure leaf aeration are preferred.
Vinification: The grapes were gently crushed. The grapes were then fermented in stainless steel temperature controlled tanks. Full malolactic fermentation took place.
Tasting Note: An unoaked, balanced and round organic Chardonnay with a creamy texture and ripe fruit flavours.
Every day serving suggestion: Chilled as an aperitif or to accompany fish in cream sauces, gratin of coquilles Saint-Jacques and goat’s cheese.
