Chateau de Campuget Red Invitation
Winery information: Costieres de Nimes, the easternmost appellation of the Languedoc, is effectively part of the Rhone since the climate, soil and topography are so similar to those just over the river in the southern Cotes-du-Rhone vineyards.
The relatively uniform soils are marked by large pebbles on gentle, typically south-facing slopes. Chateau de Campuget is a top quality estate near Nimes with a long history. In its cellar, tradition and progress unite to provide aroma, finesse and bouquet. Chateau de Campuget deploys a wide range of traditional Rhone cepage to produce full, easy and spicy wines.
Vinification: 15% of the blend is aged for one year in oak.
Tasting Note: The nose is full, rich and complex with notes of raspberry and cassis. On the palate, the wine is round and velvety with generous blackberry fruit flavours which are sustained throughout.
Every day serving suggestion: Perfect accompaniment to red meat dishes.
