The Marche region is bordered to the north by Romagna, to the west, along the spine of the Apennines, by Tuscany and Umbria, to the south by the Abruzzi and to the east by the Adriatic sea.
Antonio Garofoli started producing and selling local wines in 1871.
Garofoli's Rosso Conero Piancarda vineyards are situated on Monte Conero's south-west facing slopes.

Winemaking:7 to 10 days during which time the wine is frequently pumped over.After a meticulous tasting of the various barrels the wine is then blended and bottled.
Taste: A well-structured wine with a fine bouquet and smooth tannins. Will age well for up to 10 years
