CIELO E TERRA, VENETO
The Cielo family's winemaking roots can be traced back to the 1500's. However the "modern" story of Cielo really began in 1908 when Giovanni founded the winery in the small village of Montorso Vicentino situated in the Colli Berici and Lissini area of the Veneto. This hilly area lies between the extensive plains of the Veneto and the lower Alps.
In 1963 the nephews of the original founder entered the company and built a new winery that is today equipped with the most modern technology and has been granted the ISO 9002 certificate of quality.
Cielo recently formed an alliance with the Cantine dei Colli Berici, thus making it one of the largest wine producing companies in Italy with over 3,000 hectares of vineyards. This merger has enabled Cielo to offer quality wines, in large quantities, attractively packaged in flange bottles at realistic prices. Cielo's wines are exported to all major countries of the world.
Cielo have blended especially for us two dual varietal house wines under our "Saporito" name that means flavoursome.
