On Septmber 7th at 6am I will start the swim section of the UK Ironman distance triathlon. This involves a 2.4 mile swim in the castle lake, followed by a 112 mile bike around the hills of Dorset and then a full marathon, 26.2 miles run.
I get a massive 17 hours to complete this crazy challenge and I am raising money in honour of Dee Heymerdinger who worked tirelessly for Macmillan Cancer and sadly died of cancer this year.
To support me in this my final challange please go to www.triplechallenge.co.uk where you can read more about my madness for the year and make a donation if you wish.
This is only my 2nd year of training and since January I have lost 21lbs, I hope to be in great shape for the race and looking forward to drinking lots of lovely wine afterwards!
