Vina Edmara Viognier
Winery information: Chilean winemakers are blessed with some of the most desirable conditions on earth: exceptional soils, ideal temperatures, intense sunlight combined to make Chile a paradise for growing healthy grapes. The Central Valley is a vast region, containing patches of land where the finest grapes are grown. Our winemakers have combed this valley to find grapes which could be transformed into fruit-driven wines at the best possible price.
Vina Edmara’s wines combine intense varietal characteristics, a cleanliness of delivery and an intensity of finish that are the hallmarks of any good Chilean wine. In that, they are superb representations of what this amazing country is capable of.
Vinification: The grapes were picked late march to ensure the ripeness and varietal flavours, crushed and immediately pressed. Free-run and low pressure were used for production in order to secure maximum fruit concentration and a good acidity balance which is a characteristic of this variety. A long fermentation took place at 14°-15°C for 3 weeks. After Fermentation, the wine was kept in contact whit lees for two weeks to increase complexity and gain softness.
Tasting Note: Full Viognier expression of apricots, pineapple, peaches and hints of citrus flowers which is carried through to the palate. Soft texture, well flavoured with a refreshing finish.
Every day serving suggestion: Sushi, Chinese foods and salads.
