Gaia Estate Agiorgitiko Nemea Red
Winery information: One of the pioneers of the modern Greek wine revolution Gaia Estate was established in 1994 by Greek winemakers Leon Karatsalos and Yiannis Paraskevopoulos. Operating two different wineries they make cutting edge wines in both Nemea and Santorini.
Vinification: Matured in old French oak casks for 12 months.
Tasting Note: Soft red fruit on the nose with just a hint of toasty oak. On the palate, black cherry and red fruits are well balanced with the oak, harmonious, great structure and a nice velvety finish. Agiorgitiko is the red grape of Nemea, it makes silky smooth fruit packed reds.
Every day serving suggestion: Casserole, beef, game.
Simply stunning - sweet, serious and velvety. Great depth and complexity with loads of black and red fruits with powerful yet smooth tannins. A top red not just from Gaia Estate but in our opinion, the whole of the Meditterranean
