Moli dels Capellans Chardonnay Barrica
Winery information: There aren’t many wineries as exciting as Celler Moli dels Capellans. Founded in only 2007, the result of a shared vision between two friends, they represent the new generation of Spanish winemakers. Producing handmade boutique wines from the Conca de Barbera DO near Tarragona, all wines come from top quality vines that produce minimum yields combined with avant-garde production methods.
Vinification: The must was fermented in temperature controlled vats and full malolactic fermentation was carried out during the 6 month maturation in new French
Allier oak barrique. The wine was aged in bottle for 8 months before release.
Tasting Note: The wine shows complexity and finesse with a surprisingly retained level of acidity to give an extremely well balanced wine. The palate shows tropical fruits with a rich creamy character from the gentle use of French oak that gives way to a long and concentrated aftertaste.
