Notes: Set back from the Rhine itself, the Grosslage of Erntebringer is probably the best known area of the Rheingau. The village of Johannisberg is home to the Famous Schloss Johannisberg, often known as the Cathedral of Riesling, with its magnificent cellars.
Serve: Chilled at 10oC to 12oC with any kind of white meat or as an aperitif.
Tasting Notes: Of all the areas of the Rhine, the Rheingau exhibits the most classic Riesling flavours thanks to the fact that the Rhine flows directly East to West at the foot of its South facing slopes. The Kabinett quality adds depth to its elegant style.
