CHATEAU DE L'AUMERADE ROSE CUVEE MARIE CHRISTINE CRU CLASSÉ AC CÔTES DE PROVENCE
The Château de l'Aumerade is a 400 year old French vineyard located in the sheltered plain of Pierrefeu, in the heart of Provençe and encompasses 550 hectares of vines under the watchful ownership of Henri Fabre. Its red, mineral rich soils elevate the quality from other areas of the Provence appellation. In 1950 the estate was awarded its first distinction and was designated as Cru Classé. The estate is celebrating its 50th anniversay in 2006 and has created a special range of elegant posters and point of sale materials to commemorate the event.
Grapes: 34% Cinsault, 33% Genache and 33% Syrah.
Vinification: Grapes are harvested at the beginning of September. The wine is vinified at low temperatures in order to preserve the fresh fruity aromas.
Colour: Pale salmon
Taste: Refreshingly fruity bouquet with delicate spice and fine fruity flavours on the palate, through to an elegant finish.
Serve: Chilled as an aperitif or as the perfect accompaniment to fish, chicken and vegetarian dishes. It also accompanies summer fruit puddings well.
