DUCA DI CASTELMONTE WINES FROM CARLO PELLEGRINO, MARSALA, SICILY
Pellegrino have been known as one of the leading Marsala houses for over a hundred years. Back in the 1970's they were the first winery in the zone to market a range of table wines from local grapes. Today they are one of the most innovative producers in the south of Italy. Their winemaking expertise is reflected in a range of exceptional quality wines which has the great advantage of being extremely well priced. The harvest is carried out by hand in mid September and the average yield is purposefully kept moderate to ensure that the quality of their wines is kept to the fore.
In order to give a greater emphasis and definition to the sales of their wines, these are now marketed under the Duca di Castelmonte label.
