The Berton Vineyard located in the Eden Valley in South Australia, was established by Cherie and Bob Berton in 1996. Since then, the company has expanded and the team now comprises of 5 key partners, all of whom contribute their particular areas of expertise. In 2006 the company has grown further through the acquisition of a modern winery complex in Yenda, NSW.
Founstone is the foundation on which our portfolio rests. Sourced from vineyards throughout the south eastern Australia, these wines are consistently full of flavour and made so that they are ready to drink now.
FOUNDSTONE MERLOT
Grapes: 100% Merlot
Region: Central Ranges, Australia.
Vintage: 2004 was an excellent vintage for the Central Ranges which saw an increase in yield attributable to light rainfall throughout the season. Harvest got underway with the classic weather of warm days and cool nights.
Serve: Perfect with white meats and robust pasta dishes, or simply anytime!
