Bernard Remy Champagnes

Bernard Remy Champages

The Champagne house of Bernard Remy is a true family run estate of ourtstanding quality and value. Founded in 1968 by Bernard Remy in the small town of Allemant in the heart of the Côte des Blancs their production now reaches oevr180,000 bottles per year. The range is growing as the family cultivates different grapes and there are now 7 different styles of Bernard Remy Champagne. The area is known for it's fantastic high quality Chardonnays and the Remy Champagne is sourced from 11 hectares of vineyards owned and tended by the family.

This selection of valuable terroir allows production of an exceptionally vast range of 'Crus' which leads to fine, elegent and subtle Champagnes. Bernards son Rudy started working in the vineyards in 1996 and has learnt the ropes from his ever watchful father. Rudy has since taken over the production but his father still keeps a close eye on everything ensuring the outstanding quality that they have become known for.

The prices vary according to the quality and effort that has gone into the production of the wines. You can get amazing value for money with these Champagnes, one example is the Bernard Remy Rosé Champagne price of only £29.35 for single bottles but you get a generous discount if you buy cases of 6 or more bottles which makes this wine even more attractive.

The medals keep coming in for this great Champagne with two bronze and a Silver at the IWSC 2016 challenge and 3 more medals in the 2016 Decanter awards. Don't forget the Trophy for Best Value Sparkling Wine in the Wine Merchant Top 100 competition for the Bernard Remy Blanc de Blancs Champagne which displays what an outstanding price this commands.

The wines available in the UK are the Blanc de Blancs, The Carte Blanche and the Rosé and they are available in half bottle options apart from the Blanc de Blancs at the moment.

If you happen to be in the Allemant village then i'm sure Rudy and Bernard would be happy to show you around their vineyards and explain the different cuvee's far better than I ever could. For more information visit their website direct and see how sublime these sparkling wines really are. If you can't make it then why not buy a taster case of each of their wonderful bottles of fizz and toast the brilliance at home.
