Metal Label Black Shiraz 2019 wins a major Trophy

Metal Label Black Shiraz 2019 wins a major Trophy!

The amazing value for money Metal Label Black Shiraz 2019 vintage has just won a major Trophy at the Riverina wine awards in Australia.  This achievement is significant for Bob Berton and all his team at Berton Vineyards because it is their local wine competition and they fought off challengers from highly regarded wineries and wines that were double and treble the price of The Black Shiraz.

Berton Vineyards are quickly racking up Trophy after Trophy for this amazing mixture of different wines.  From the multi-award winning Barossa Shiraz to the Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon, this winery knows how to make the best and this latest Trophy show their dedication to not only making value for money wines but to make the absolute best they can with the grades they produce.

The 2019 vintage follows in the wake of many of the successful vintages to come from this South Eastern Australia wine.

I have recently reviewed this wine and I have to agree it is a phenomenal value for money Shiraz with outstanding fruit characters and a wonderful intensity of flavours.  It has silky soft tannins which wrap your palate in a warm hug and the finish lingers for many, many wonderful minutes.  I highly recommend getting some of this delicious red wine.

The following was written in the Berton Vineyards press release

“Berton Vineyards Awarded Best Shiraz at Riverina Wine Show Berton Vineyards are celebrating winning the Sean Hampel Trophy for Best Shiraz at the 2020 Riverina Wine Show for their Metal Label 2019 Black Shiraz.

Managing Director Bob Berton said the team at Berton's are so pleased that this blend of Shiraz, from vineyards across southern eastern Australia, has been awarded this accolade. “This is a wonderful endorsement of a core wine in our portfolio, a wine that is intrinsic to what we believe in and part of Berton Vineyards since the beginning.

It reinforces our belief that we are making a true example of great Aussie Shiraz”, said Bob. The winning Black Shiraz displays plum, coffee and a deep intensity of flavour with a soft yet generous palate, a bold example of an Australian Shiraz”.
