Step forward: Oveja Negra! Via's first harvest was as recent as 2002 from a new winery at Talca and this is very definitely a Can Do operation producing wines with attitude.

These wines define the ‘black sheep’ concept with cutting edge blends and unexpected adult single vineyard varietals. They definitely have a more European fields of them and this is achieved through care and attention in the vineyards and the winery, where winemaker Edgard Carter is very careful not to overstate extract while maximising the evidence and purity of fruit. These are individual wines for individual people.

The Oveja Negra Winemakers Selection Sauvignon Carmenere is worth particular mention as it combines the juice of both the black grape Carmenere and the white grape Sauvignon Blanc to produce a unique style of white wine.
