Pelee Island wines

A selection of wines from Pelee Island. Pelee Island specialise in Icewine from Canada.

Pelee Island is Canada's largest independent winery, nestled in the western base of Lake Erie in the country's southern most inhabited tip of land. It is Canada's warmest region with a unique microclimate and a growing season over 50 days longer than that of the mainland. Pelee Island was one of the first Canadian wineries to produce Icewine, and theirs is made from Vidal, a French hybrid of Ugni Blanc and Rayon d'Or, noted for it's honey and stone fruit characters. This is one of the country's best dessert wines.
