Bodegas El Esteco, founded in 1892 by French immigrants David and Salvador Michel, is one of the oldest family owned wineries in Argentina. This hidden gem can be found nestled in Salta's Calchaqui Valley, Argentina's most northerly wine producing region and home to some of the highest vineyards in the world at over 1,700 metres above sea level. The wines are elegant with an intense flavour profile and are a true expression of this very special wine producing region.

Hand Harvesting ; Brunch Selection; Destemming; Berry Selection; Fermentation and Maceration for over 25 days; Natural Malolactic Fermentation; Aged for 12 months in French oak; Selection of Barrels; Bottling; 6 months in the bottle

Tasting Note

Raisins, coffee and light herbaceous notes conquer the nose, the palate is mature and vibrant notes combined with firm and sweet tannins. Long persistence, concentrated and elegant.
