Andre Brunel Domaine Sommelongue 2014

A family owned Estate comprising of 22 hectares in Chateauneuf du Pape and 11 hectares in the Cotes du Rhone. Andre Brunel makes wines from Estate grown grapes as well as grapes from his neighbouring growers that he tends in the vineyards. Brunel's hallmark is fruit emphasis with balanced tannins and the fruit flavours lingering through to a long finish.

Vinification
The grapes are crushed and de-stemmed. Alcoholic fermentation is stated by introducing selected yeasts and takes place in temperature controlled vats at 28-32C lasting 10-12 days. After running off the juice, the must is pressed and the free-run juice and press juice are blended.

Viticulture
40 years old planted on the stony terraces of the right bank of the river Rhone.

Tasting Note
An elegantly crafted Cote du Rhone which punches above its weight. Spicy with notes of coffee.

Everyday Serving Suggestion
V is best served at 15C with coq au vin, casseroles, red meats and lamb
