Domaine La Rouviole Minervois Cru La Liviniere 2013

This proudly independent family estate owned estate which was bought by the Leonor family in 1956 is located in the renowned Cru La Liviniere area of Minervois. Wines are made from blends of Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault and Carignan from the best and oldest plots of the estate. Great care is taken to hand harvest the grapes at optimum ripeness and to express the terroir of the area.

Vinification
Hand harvested, to choose only the grapes with optimal maturity, from the best plots of the vineyard. Traditional vinification. The Syrah is aged for 12 months in french oak barrels ( 50 % aged in new barrels and 25 % in second wine ). The grenache is aged in stainless steel tanks.

Viticulture

Tasting Note
A rich, full bodied red wine with aromas of dark fruit with spice complemented by elegant oak flavours through to a fine, smooth finish.

Everyday Serving Suggestion
La Rouviole Minervois Cru La Liviniere is best served with stews, roasted red meat en sauce with chargrilled vegetables.

So far this has been my favourite of the wines that I have purchased.. and again had not had the pleasure of tasting from this wine grower , but felt comfortable purchasing 2 bottles. Definitely do not regret. This wine is wonderful value. I found it to have a very subtle flavour..once again silky smooth to finish, this time accompanying steak..the berries tease the back of your pallet relaxing your tonsils and play jazz music on your taste buds..there was a sense of longing after I had finished the last glass..so I opened another bottle to continue the mellow feeling.
