Domaine Rene Monnier Pommard Les Vignots 2015

The 2011 vintage is particularly delicious and contans all the hallmarks of being considered a fantastic wine with great ageing potential.

Domaine ReneMonnier was founded in 1723. The Domaine is now in the hands of the tenth generation of the family who own 18 hectares of vineyards in the best crus of the Cote de Beaune, one of the largest privately owned Domaines in the region. Great attention is paid to limiting the yields in the vineyards. This guarantees the best possible quality of juice, with the correct balance between fruit and acidity. Rene Monnier's wines are well known in three star restaurants.

Vinification
Traditionally vinified followed by maturation in oak. Gentle filtration, no fining.

Viticulture

Tasting Note
A dense Pinot Noir style with a nose of violets, pepper and cassis; well structured with firm tannins.

Everyday Serving Suggestion
At 15C to accompany roast red meats, lamb and duck.
