Dry January Survival Mixed case of 12 wines

Dry January has rapidly become a bit of a thing in the UK, along with Stoptober. However at Wineman we thing you will get far more health benefits from going Vegan for 30 days just like the boss did recently. His rapid and surprising weight loss, without any cravings and whilst still enjoying wine convinced us to create this case of wine.

This superb case of a dozen mixed bottles of wines is not only fantastic vaue but the quality of the wines is great! We have carefully chosen this case to appeal to the majority or wine drinkers with 6 whites, 1 rosé and 5 reds.  The wines hail from Burgundy to California and are all current vintage.

Some of these wines are listed in some top restaurants as their house wines at over £18.00 and represent fantastic value at an average price of £6.25 for the dozen.

Whites

Wild Paw Chardonnay from Australia - A Charismatic unoaked Aussie Chardonnay which will knock you for a six with it's abundant white peach and melon fruit with a warming hint of ginger spice.

El Camino Torrontés/Sauvignon Blanc from Argentina - A refreshing combination of zesty Sauvignon with the spice and peachy flavours of Torrontés. Perfect for drinking on it's own or pair with kormas or spicy south east Asian cuisines.

Vina Edmara Sauvignon Blanc from Chile - A classic Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. Vibrant and zesty with grapefruit and lemon peel that lend a fresh balance to the tropical fruit character.

Vina Edmara Viognier from Chile - This ripe and luscious Viognier was lees aged to add complexity. Delicious notes of apricot, pineapple, peach and citrus flowers. Great with sweet potato and squash dishes and also pad Thai, chicken tagine or ginger based curries.

Chevanceau Blanc from the south of France - Carefully sourced Languedoc fruit, predominantly Sauvignon Blanc is blended with Vermentino and Marsanne to give an easy drinking refreshing white with a rounded finish.

Tournée Du Sud Grenache/Sauvignon Blanc from the Languedoc Roussillon region of France - The structure and richness of the Grenache Blanc is balanced by the minerality of the Sauvignon. Vivacious and concentrated - excellent with roast chicken, rabbit or even turbot.

Rosé

Broken Shackle Classic Rosé from Australia - Made by Bob Berton largely from Sangiovese giving a well-structured wine, displaying sweet red berry fruits. Great with pan seared shellfish or Rogan Josh.

Reds

Chevanceau Rouge from the South of France - A rich and full bodied Grenache based Languedoc blend with enticing wild garrigue notes. Excellent with bangers and mash, steak and chips or Camembert.

Lucien M Bourgogne Pinot Noir from Burgundy in France - A traditional Burgundian Pinot Noir with earthy and ripe red berry flavours and a savoury finish from a touch of oak. Enjoyable without food or with mushroom risotto or lamb.

Terre Du Soleil Grenache from the Languedoc Rousillion region of France - Bright strawberry and rasberry fruit and an easy drinking palate make this unaoked wine the perfect winter warmer to enjoy on cool winter evenings.

Encantador Monastrell/Merlot from Spain - A voluptuos deep red Monastrell blend from the Yecla region that oozes character. Full bodied with dense black forest gateau flavours and a touch of spice on the velvety finish. 

Calico Mane Zinfandel from California, USA - Intense and exciting, a heady aroma of chocolate, plums, damson and blackberry with oceans of ripe fruit and a long finish. A great match with burgers, roast chicken, sausages, steak or ribs.
