Encantador Bobal Rose 2014 6 Bottle Case
Encantador Rosé is made from 100% Bobal grapes, this is a generally unknown varietal outside of Spain but it produces a wonderful example of Rose wine with just the right amount of summer fruit characters. Don't get the fruit confused with sweetness though as all the sugar has turned to alcohol. This is a great wine to drink opn it's own or to pair with salads, paella or seafood.
The Encantador wines are as charming as their Spanish origins. From the country that gave us Gaudi, Blahnik, Almodovar and Iniesta, we give you...Vino Fantastico! Now you see it, now you don't! The quirky presentationis a nod to the current trend for a twist of the unconventional, capturing the irony and sense of humour that is the essence of this latest labelling vogue. Yes, it's a bit edgy, it's a bit off the wall, it's a bit bonkers... And if you are not comfortable being edgy, off the wall or bonkers, well, these might not be the wines for you!
The 2014 vintage in La Mancha was reliable and the quality of the grapes was high. After the excesses of the 2013 vintage, the 2014 has been described as more typical for the region and the 2014 wines are fuller bodied with an equilibrium of refreshing acidity.
The Bobal grapes were macerated for some hours with their skins, in order to extract colour and aromas, the must was then fermented in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures to preserve the integrity of these aromas. The wine was clarified and stabilised before being filtered for bottling.
A vibrant, deeply coloured rosado, with beautiful aromas of crushed raspberries and light summer fruits. There markable floral and fruity character is carried through to the palate.
Encantador Rosé is lovely when served chilled as the perfect apéritif. This wine is also a great match for Spanish paella, seafood, grilled tuna and salads.
