Winery Information: Matias Riccitelli is the son of renowned winemaker Jorge Riccitelli (Bodegas Norton). Using the experience, knowledge and passion passed down from his father, Matias decided to set up his very own winery in 2009. His vineyards cover 20 hectares located in three selected sites within the premium growing region of Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza. This is a young and dynamic project in which Matias is seeking to express the full potential of Argentine terroir.
Viticulture: Grapes are handpicked from old vines from Matias Riccetelli's three vineyards, Vistalba, Perdriel and El Cepillo. At the winery the grapes are handsorted before vinification.
Soil: Mixed
Vinification: Grapes are vinified in small concrete vats. After 4 pumpovers per day and a 30 day maceration period, the wine is transferred into french oak barrels to age for 16 months. The final wine is then clarified before bottling.
Tasting Note: Attractive floral aroma with ripe black cherry and liqourice on the palate.
Every day serving suggestion: An ideal match for grilled meats, hard cheeses and simply delicious with chocolate.
