Situated in Nashik, India’s largest grape-growing region, Sula Vineyards was set up in 1997 by Rajeev Samant & Kerry Damsky. Sula now cultivates Shiraz and Zinfandel amongst other international varieties and broadly recognized as India’s premium wine producer.

Viticulture:
Nashik is located approx 2000 feet above sea level, to the north of Mumbai, in The Western Ghats mountains. The climate is mild with winters reaching 8-10C and summers 35C, rainfall is high. Similar in climate to the Loire and South Africa.

Soil:

Vinification:
Grapes were whole bunch pressed and the juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks for 25 – 30 days then left to settle for approx 2 months.

I bought this wine for my daughter's birthday as she was so impressed by the quality and taste when she and her husband were on holiday in Dubai. They were recommended this wine by the Head Waiter at the Little Miss Indian Restaurant at their hotel The Fairmont The Palm. She says that this particular Sauvignon Blanc is the best she has ever consumed. I was so pleased to find this wine in stock at Wineman and delivery was super efficient. My daughter was delighted to receive this wine on her birthday just recently.
