Tinpot Hut Sauvignon Blanc 2016

The Tinpot Hut story began in 2003 when Fiona Turner and her husband Hamish established a 20 hectare estate in the Marlborough sub Region of Blind River. Fiona is supported in creating her amazing wines by Matt Thompson the inter-galactic winemaker who seems to be making sublime wines in every region of the world but who always has his roots firmly set in New Zealand. Matt is most famous for creating the wines of Saint Clair but he uses his skills well with every select grower he chooses to collaborate with. Luckily for Fiona Matt and her have been friends for many years!

The 2016 Tinpot Hut Sauvignon Blanc is a blend of fruit from Blind River, contributing mineral and crushed herb characters, and the Lower Wairau, which imparts it's lovely tropical fruit flavours.

Grape - Sauvignon Blanc

ABV% - 13.5%

Region - Marlborough

Tasting Note - Intense aromas of blackcurrant, crushed lemongrass and thyme  mingle with passion fruit and melon highlights. Underlying ripe fruit  and mineral notes from the grapes grown in the Blind River sub region of Marlborough combine well with the more tropical notes from the Wairau Valley vineyards. A stylish and pleasantly rich Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with a fine balance of acidity

Serving Suggestion - Tinpot Hut Sauvignon Blanc is delicious with Thai food and seafood where it's not too delicate in flavours
