Chilean White Wine

A selection of white wines from Chile

The wines are from Echeverria. Oveja Negra, Ventolera and Carmen who make superb white wines from Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Chardonnay and Riesling. Chile's potential for producing world class wines is now being fully recognised. The main growing regions such as Casablanca, Leyda, Colchagua, Curico, Maipo and Aconcagua are all represented. Some of these regions are better suited to red wine production and others are better for white wine production. What is universally agreed is that Chile is now one of the powerhouses of New World Wine.

There was a strong French influence in the middle of the 19th century when the modern wine trade began and so the majority of varietals planted are of French extraction. If it's diversity, vivacity and originality you are after - as well as exceptional value for money - look no further than Chile. We love the wines from this country and think they are some of the best value for money wines in the world!

The wave of investment in specific sub regions around the country has been backed up by knowledgable, dedicated, ambitious winemakers who are not afraid to push the boundaries.
