Italian Rose Wines

A selection of Rose wines from Italy

Italy is better known for it's red and white wines than for it's Rose wines. That being said they still produce one of the biggest selling rose wines in the world market - The OPinot Grigio Blush. This is a strange little grape as it starts off green and then develops a tan and freckles as the sun imoacts on it throughout the vintage. It is this tan that gives Pinot Grigio Blush it's light rose colour and allows it to be a dryer style of wine. Zinfandel also takes a place here in the use of the Primitivo grape which is grown to great effect in Puglia and whilst fruity and full of flavour it doesn't have the sicky sweet style of it's Californian cousin. We have a selection of rose wines from as far away as Sicily to the rolling hills of Tuscany.
