Trebbiano

A selection of wines made with the Trebbiano grape variety.

Cervico and Valle Reale make two perfect examples of this lighter grape variety.

Trebbiano is often regarded as a bit of a weed wine. This is because it grows everywhere and is not fussy about soil, climate or terroir. It is another one of those wines that is known by different names in different countries, for example in France it's known as Ugni Blanc and is used in making Armanac and Cognac. Under the guise of Trebbiano it is one of Italy's most grown grapes and produces wines that don't have any massive character or longevity. These are wines to be drunk now while the acidity levels are decent and can be enjoyed at their best.
